As the Property Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a multi-unit residential property, ensuring optimal occupancy, financial success, and tenant satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the property management team, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of efficiency and tenant satisfaction.
  • Oversee leasing activities, including marketing vacant units, conducting property tours, and negotiating lease agreements.
  • Ensure tenant screening and credit verification processes align with industry standards.
  • Manage rent collection, maintain communication with delinquent tenants, and oversee financial reporting.
  • Supervise maintenance and repair activities, ensuring the property remains in excellent condition.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to uphold safety and operational standards. • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors for property services.
  • Ensure strict compliance with local, provincial, and federal housing regulations.
  • Prepare financial reports and property performance updates for senior management.
  • Stay updated on market trends to maintain the property’s competitive position.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with property management.
  • Represent the property in legal matters, including filings at the Tribunal Administratif du Logement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in residential property management.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with leasing, operations, and maintenance teams. • Knowledge of local real estate markets and trends.
  • Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • Must live within 20 minutes of the property in Montreal, QC.
  • Bilingual
  • Availability to be on-call 24/7 for property-related emergencies.
