It\u2019s not a reward for performance. It\u2019s not the next checkbox on your career plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leadership is a commitment, to people, to service, to impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And when it&#8217;s done right, it&#8217;s one of the most powerful forces for good in any organization.<br>But when it\u2019s done wrong, it breaks people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Truth: Leadership Holds Power. Real Power.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not the kind that comes from authority, org charts, or job titles, but the kind that shapes lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A leader can make someone feel unstoppable. Or invisible.<br>A leader can give someone their first big break. Or slowly chip away at their confidence.<br>A leader can build a team where people feel safe, seen, and supported. Or create one where people fear being honest or making a mistake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s the kind of power leadership holds.<br>And that\u2019s why it matters WHO we allow to lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Leadership Is a Responsibility Not a Right<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You don\u2019t get to lead just because you\u2019re good at your job.<br>You earn leadership through character, empathy, accountability, and service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You\u2019re not just managing tasks, you\u2019re shaping careers.<br>You\u2019re not just influencing projects, you\u2019re influencing <em>people<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That means if you\u2019re not ready to put others before your ego\u2026<br>If you\u2019re not ready to mentor, to listen, to advocate, to take responsibility for more than just outcomes\u2026<br>If you\u2019re not willing to do what\u2019s right, even when it\u2019s hard\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>You have no business leading!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because people deserve better.<br>They deserve leaders who build them up, not break them down.<br>Leaders who lead with integrity, not intimidation.<br>Leaders who understand the honor it is to be trusted with someone\u2019s work, growth, and potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Leadership Litmus Test: Are You Giving Back?<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here\u2019s the question every leader should ask themselves regularly:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Am I using my position to lift others \u2014 or just to elevate myself?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because real leadership gives back. It creates more leaders. It leaves people stronger than it found them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Giving back isn\u2019t always grand gestures. Sometimes it\u2019s:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Taking time to coach someone instead of criticizing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Making room at the table for a voice that\u2019s been quiet<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Owning your mistakes publicly to show others it\u2019s safe to do the same<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Saying, <em>\u201cI see you. I believe in you. Let\u2019s grow together.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Leadership Is Legacy<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">People won\u2019t remember your quarterly wins or how well you managed a budget.<br>They\u2019ll remember how you made them feel.<br>They\u2019ll remember if you stood by them. If you helped them grow. If you had their back when it counted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, if you\u2019re stepping into leadership, step in with your whole heart.<br>With humility. With purpose. With people in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And if you\u2019re not ready to do that, it\u2019s okay. But don\u2019t lead.<br>Because the cost of careless leadership isn\u2019t just poor performance, it\u2019s broken trust, lost talent, and people walking away from their potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Bottom Line<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leadership is powerful. Leadership is sacred.<br>And leadership is not about being in charge, it\u2019s about being <strong>accountable<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So be the leader who gives more than they take.<br>Who remembers the human before the role.<br>Who lifts others while rising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And if that\u2019s not your intention?<br><strong>Don\u2019t lead.
