Director of Operations

Job Description

As the Director of Operations, you will oversee the day-to-day operations across multiple departments—including production, logistics, and supply chain—to ensure efficiency, quality, and profitability. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role that requires strong analytical thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and a passion for driving results. You’ll work closely with the executive team to align operations with the company’s long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage daily operations across manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and warehousing.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning to support growth initiatives.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
• Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to optimize operations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, health & safety, and environmental standards are met.
• Collaborate with finance, HR, sales, and other departments to align operational priorities.
• Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
• Identify risks and develop contingency plans to ensure operational continuity.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (MBA is a strong asset).
• 8–12 years of experience in operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management, production processes, and quality systems.
• Experience implementing ERP/MRP systems and driving operational digitalization.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and change management skills.
• Bilingual (English/French) preferred, or comfortable in a bilingual environment.
