Job Description

The Supply Chain Manager oversees end-to-end supply chain operations for the Montreal site, ensuring efficient planning, procurement, inventory management, logistics, and supplier performance. This role is critical to supporting production schedules, meeting customer commitments, and maintaining the companies’ high standards of quality and compliance.

You will lead a small but mighty team, collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams, and drive process improvements that strengthen operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Build and execute supply chain strategies aligned with site and corporate objectives
  • Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency, cost, and service levels

Planning & Scheduling

  • Oversee production planning and material requirements planning (MRP) to support manufacturing schedules
  • Ensure accurate forecasting in partnership with Commercial and Operations teams
  • Optimize capacity planning and resource allocation

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Manage purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging, and indirect supplies
  • Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor performance metrics

Inventory & Warehouse Management

  • Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste
  • Ensure accurate inventory reporting and compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to streamline receiving, storage, and distribution

Logistics & Distribution

  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely delivery of materials and finished goods
  • Optimize freight, transportation, and distribution processes
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to enhance supply chain processes, systems, and workflows
  • Lead or support Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives
  • Implement best practices to strengthen operational resilience

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, health, or other regulated industries
  • Experience in GMP environments is a strong asset
  • Prior leadership or team management experience required

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Proficiency in forecasting, planning, and inventory management
  • Solid understanding of procurement and supplier management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
