We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Business Controller to join a rapidly growing real estate services firm in Québec. This leadership role is ideal for a seasoned finance professional with over 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, including at least 2-3 years in a senior controller or financial business partner position. The right candidate thrives in fast-paced, forward-thinking environments and is driven to harness AI, automation, and cutting-edge financial technologies to elevate operational performance and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Lead all aspects of financial management: planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance
  • Partner with regional leaders to support strategic planning and business growth
  • Deliver proactive insights and forward-looking analysis to senior management
  • Enhance both traditional and digital brokerage performance

Financial Reporting & Oversight

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Brokerage Controller for consistent reporting and variance analysis
  • Translate financial insights into executive-level narratives
  • Recommend revenue optimization and cost-saving strategies
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards

People Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
  • Set clear goals, provide coaching, and conduct performance reviews
  • Promote collaboration and engagement across distributed teams

Qualifications

  • CPA designation required
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in finance/accounting, with 3+ years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven expertise in financial operations, compliance, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Experience in process automation, digital transformation, and financial technologies
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
  • Experience in multi-entity, national, or shared services environments preferred
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is required
