Job Description

As a BI Analyst/As a BI Analyst/Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable BI infrastructure using Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, and Azure Data Technologies. You’ll collaborate closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineers to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions that drive actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

BI Development & Data Modeling 

  • Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Build and optimize data models for analytics and self-service reporting
  • Ensure data accuracy, performance, and usability

Database & ETL Development 

  • Develop and optimize SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and views
  • Design and implement ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading
  • Maintain data governance, security, and quality standards

Azure Data Platform & Cloud Integration 

  • Work with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure SQL Database
  • Implement and optimize cloud-based data pipelines
  • Leverage Azure services for real-time and batch data processing

Collaboration & Business Support 

  • Partner with business users to translate reporting needs into technical solutions
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior team members

Qualifications & Experience 

  • 5+ years of experience in BI, Data Engineering, or related field
  • Expertise in SQL Server, Power BI, and Azure Data Stack
  • Strong ETL and data integration experience (SSIS)
  • Proficiency in data modeling (star/snowflake schema)
  • Familiarity with Python or PowerShell (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in the food industry, supply chain, or retail is a plus
  • Microsoft certifications (Azure Data Engineer, Power BI, SQL Server) are an asset
